Hurley Hasler Marathon ’26

Sunday 16th August We are still waiting details of this race, but we did attend last year and it was great fun, on a lovely stretch or the River Thames at Hurley. Report from last year can be seen here.

Sunday 28th June We are going to Wey Kayak Club’s Marathon Race, are you joining us? This is a great opportunity for paddlers to try a ranking Marathon Race, it is fairly local to both West London and Thamesmead and is suitable for all standards.

Thursday June 25th Everybody welcome, all boats and standards. The races will be free to enter and will be held over 200m and 500m on the canal at Southall, UB2 4GG. Access to Three Bridges School via the footbridge from Havelock Road.

Sunday Slalom Three days of paddling opportunities over the Bank Holiday weekend, enabled Shark (and other) paddlers to bask in the sunny delights of Shepperton.

Pan-Galactic Championships The very first Pan-Galactic End Cockpit C2 championships took place at The Sharks at Shepperton Slalom on Bank Holiday Monday. This will be a regular feature at our future slaloms, so come along and have the fun.

Slalom C2 Event At the Sharks at Shepperton Slalom the Sharks ran a C2 challenge for paddlers of different generation, we openly admit the idea came from Sheffield Canoe Club’s Oughtibridge Slalom and it is great fun,

Shepperton Sprint Wild Water Race The Second London Open Sprint Championships took place at Shepperton on Sunday 24th May, a quick dash from Shepperton Weir to the London Side of the River, which was part of the Sharks at Shepperton Triple Challenge Weekend.

Falcon – Oxford Marathon 2026

Sunday 21st June The Sharks are attending the Falcon Canoe Club Marathon on the River Thames at Oxford on Sunday 21st June, the Club has fantastic facilities and it is a great race, so we invite Shark paddlers to join us.
