Links and colleges from the past year’s reviews
2020 is certainly a year we will remember, however, there were some positive things that happened, here isa look back at the year.
January
An active start to the year, what could possibly go wrong?
Some new members, new activities, a great start to the year
February
The month the rain came, apparently, with it some nice action on some nice rivers.
Preparing for the start of competitions
March
A great start to our competitive year, how could we possibly have know it was also the end of it?
New paddlers racing, medals and some great results, it could be a good year.
April
Oh dear, what a strange time, but things continued and The Sharks were active within the limitations we had.
May
But communities pulling together, and being part of the imaginative and community spirited Southall Fund Raiser.
June
After lockdown v1.0 (who knew there would be more?) we opened our sessions at Harefield, NW10 and Southall, to people who had previously ben paddling with us.
July
We were fully operational, thanks to the great efforts of our staff
Back at Osterley Park, welcoming new members, things were looking good.
August
When things started to look normal
A sunny month, back in action and preparing for a brighter future and we got some pretty new kit.
September
Encouraging signs
A trip away for and things getting back into a routine, we started back in teaching in Three Bridges, yes very encouraging, more new members, the Club was definably moving forward.
October
Well numbers kept on growing across all our sites, we moved to weekend paddling a bit earlier than normal as we had no competitions, but things were looking uncertain as Covid-19 cases started to rise.
November
As we moved back into lockdown v2.
December
We opened up and we shut down again
We certainly had some nice weather for the few sessions we did run, we managed some maintenance at Harefield, planned an active paddling festive season, only for it all to be closed down as we moved to tier 4 or Lockdown v2.1
Wonder what 2021 will bring?
We have launched our recovery plan; Project 21.
