Men’s K1

2024 saw the return of Grant Underwood and Adam Stewart to our Wild Water Racing Team after some considerable time away and our top ranking paddler was …

Grant Underwood

Grant came 25th in the final rankings, his first race back being in the European Cup at HPP, Nottingham. Grant collected a total of 5,861 points. He was ranked 72nd in Europe from just one event!

Neal Underwood

The Veteran 60+ paddler came 43rd, with 5,234 points, he was also 4th V60 in the Country.

Ivijah Campbell-Bryan

Ivijah raced 5 times and amassed 4,964 points to put him in 51st place in the UK and 2nd Under 14!

Adam Stewart

Adam only did two events, but in both or those he was our top paddler, a great way to return, those two races earned him3,688 points. His final position was 71st.

Ian Marsh

One of our newest paddlers, Ian raced just twice, using a slalom boat, he finished 86th with 2,547 points. As he raced in a slalom boat he also qualifies for Wavehopper points and was 7th place and first Senior.

Kiyan Zend Lashani

At just 7-years-old, Kiyan has completed three River Races, tow of them in Wild Water Racing boats. He came 159th in the UK rankings with 1,487 points. He is Britain’s top Under 8! As he did his first race in a slalom boat, he is ranked 99th in the Wavehopper League and is Under 8 champion.

Maximilian Arbuzov

Maximilian completed two races earing 1,370 points and is ranked 168th, and 8th J12. Both were in slalom boats, so qualify for Wavehopper points, where is his ranked 45th and 6th J12.

Richard Moore

Rick, only did one race and is ranked 181st, with 1,275 points.

Hopefully we will see you at a few more River races in 2025 Rick.

Saalih Syed

Another of our newcomers who only did one event towards the end of the season, Saalih is ranked 203rd (1,050 points), and 9th J12.

Richard Davis

At 87-years-old, Richard Davies is the oldest ranked River Racer in the Country. He only did one race in 2024, but collected 1,040 points ranking him at 205th in the UK, However he is also the V85 Champion.

The Sharks have both the oldest and youngest ranked paddlers in the UK and both are their age group champions.

Charlie O’Donnell

Another newcomer for 2024, Charlie only competed once and is ranked 206th with 1,034 points.

Look forward to a few more outings in 2025 Charlie.

Nicolas Bozic

New this season, Nicolas raced once towards the end of the year collecting 890 points and is ranked 219th, he is also 12th J16. Competing in a slalom boat means he qualifies for Wavehopper rankings of 89th and 9th J16

Abdurrahman Syed

J10 Abdurrahman competed just one towards the end of the year and is ranked 228th (4th under-10) with 589 points, and 98th(4th J10) in Wavehopper.

Abdullah Syed

Another under 8, he finished with 500 points and 229th place and 3rd J8. 100th in Wavehopper and 2nd J8.

Ladies K1

With a number of our ladies’ unavailable due to other commitments we only had three women this year

Susan Templeton

Was our top ranked paddler coming 47th with 1,946 points from two races, she was 2nd V65. In the Wavehopper rankings she was 15th and top V65.

Carmel Lord

Racing twice this year Carmel is ranked 57th with 1,584 points and 22nd in Wavehopper; 3rd Senior.

Ryo Lord

Under 14 Ryo completed her first race towards the end of the year and collected 574 points, ranking her 84th and 9th J14. Her Wavehopper ranking is 52nd and 7th J14.

Mixed C2

Sybille Marchese and Grant Underwood

Joint 14th winning the only race (worth 2,000 points) they entered this year, well done.

Men’s C2

Nicolas Bozich and Grant Underwood

Winning their only race picking up 2,000 points they came joint 17th.

Grant Underwood and Neal Underwood

Taking 90th place from just one event. They had 1,413 points.

Kiyan Zand Lashani and Grant Underwood

Only raced once and collected 1,145 points; ranking them 98th.

Racing starts on 18th January 2025 for the next season, so get your kit ready and lets make 2025 a year to remember.
