Let’s Start the 2025 Wild Water Racing Season in style, with a mass Shark presence at Barrow-upon-Soar on Saturday 18th!
The Shark presence at Barrow Races at the end of last year was very impressive, let’s keep it up for the rest of the serries, beginning this month. You can enter by clicking here. If this is your first race and you need help please call Neal on 07951 770241.
Barrow-upon-Soar is just over a 100 miles and takes about 2 hours to travel to. The race starts at 10am and paddlers need to be onsite by 9:30 at the latest. In order to help team managers, we do ask that all paddlers enter online before the race
The race is 3k and is suitable to all paddlers who can paddle that distance, including people new to river racing, it is a nice twisty river with a flow to help you on your way, no rocks or obstacles, it is a time trial, however, we will arrange for younger paddlers to be escorted down the river.
We park at The Moorings Pub, where refreshments are available both pre-race and afterwards. The Pub supports the race, so please support them. There is a short paddle along the canal to the start, which is an ideal warm up, we then race back to the Pub where the finish line is.
