Another Year in prospect
The year starts off with the traditional Dook, an Wild Water Race and soe very interesting behind the scenes activity.
This Year Grant Underwood to to the Atlantic Ocean for a French style Dook, for the uninitiated as swim in open water in January.
Whilst Jasmin Uhlhorn and Neal Underwood, took to the chilly waters of Troy Lake at Rickmansworth Sailing Club, our Harefield Home.
The only race attended was the Barrow Race, and the only hark participant was Neal Underwood, who came 18th and third over 60, on what was a rather chilly day.
A big thank you to Rick, Aaron, Jasmine, David, Neal who turned up to help do some maintenance work on the cage at Harefield.
We had our monthly pool session at Horsenden and it is great to see more of our paddlers learning to roll.
We have also been having some good attendances at our Slalom sessions at Harefield. These are open to all our paddlers and anybody else who wants to join, for more information contact us on 07051 770241 or email slalom@thesharks.org.uk.
In the background we have been planning the relaunch or Harlesden sessions at Easter, so keep an eye out for details, we are looking at a launch event on the Saturday or Sunday of Easter and we have been meeting with several organisations involved and have a celebration of everything canal. For more information or if you, or your group want to be involved get in touch on 07951 770241 or email: canoeing@thesharks.org.uk.
It has been a very positive start to what we hope is going to be another great year for The Sharks and more importantly for Shark members.
