The Southampton Hasler (ranking) Marathon takes place on Sunday July 21st, is anybody interested in going? The distances are not as scary as you thing, details below. There is a race for all standards, you do need to be able to sit a racing boat, and we have some very stable ones.

The George Sanders Races are designed for under 14-year-olds and are 2 miles (just over 3k). These start at 11am, which means paddlers need to be there for 10am. These races are fun events to get youngsters started, Ivijah Campbell-Bryan recently did one at Oxford Falcon, take a look here. Cost for this race is just £5.

Divisions 7 – 9, which is for Juniors over 14 and adults, are 4 miles, about 6.5k, and cost is £12 for seniors and £10 for Juniors (Under 18-years-old).

Divisions 4 – 6 are 8 miles (13k), with Divisions 1 -3 12 miles (19.3k).

The race venue is just over 80 miles away from Harlesden and would take about 1 hour 40 minutes to travel to. So who is interested in going?
