Is on Saturday 9th November
Let’s beat our turn out in October, we had nine padders racing then, how many can we get this time?
This 3k race is suitable for all standards and is great fun and a great experience. Check out last month’s report.
The Barrow Upon Soar race is 120 miles from our sites in West London, depending on traffic about two-and-a-half hours to drive. The race starts at 11am and takes less than 30 minutes, We can then enjoy some social time together before heading home.
A great development opportunity for all levels, beginners get to race an a great safe course, gain useful boat control skills and learn about the way rivers move, and experienced paddlers get a chance to race against and compare themselves against other paddlers.
Regular racing can give you a sense of how you are improving and what you need to work on in training. You can use any boat to race, we want to get people active and involved, as does the organising club, they welcome anyone who wants to race.
We will have Wild Water Racing boats available at all of our sessions if anybody want to try them out. For mor information call/text 07951 770241 or email canoeing@thesharks.org.uk,
