March ’25 Barrow Results

River Race Results from Barrow-upon-Soar

A team of ten Shark paddlers made the trip for the final race of the serries, it was a great day out, with nice weather, no wind and excellent water. We will be back in October!

Ladies’ K1

Jasmin Uhlhorn was back in action for the first time this year and clocked up a time of 21 minutes and 40.30 seconds for the 3k loop, she raced in a slalom boat and thereof collected 1,348 points for both Wavehopper and National Ranking. She came 14th overall and 4th Senior and first in a slalom boat. Great to see you back Jasmin.

Men’s K1

The fastest Shark of the day was Grant Underwood, his time of 16:22.28 put him in 25th place, earning 1,647 points.

Neal Underwood crossed the finish line in a time of 16:46.66, placing him 26th over all and 5th V60, he gets 1,636 ranking points.

Ian Marsh sneaked in by just 3 seconds ahead of Nicolas Bozic, with times of 20:27.53 and 20:30.13 respectively, a personal best for Nicolas. The were 39th and 40th with Nicolas being the first Under 18. Both were racing in slalom boats so collect Wavehopper and National ranking points; 1,293 for Ian and 1,289 for Nicolas.

A trio of Sharks took 44th, 45th and 46th place: Abdurrahman Syed was the first Under 10 over the line with a time of 26:32.28, collecting 726 points. Brother Abdullah Syed‘s, time was 27:23.30, he was the first Under 8, and earnt 647 points. Maximillian Arbuzov got 505 points for his time of 28:55.04, he was 4th Under 12.

    Kiyan Zand Lashani was second under 8 and 49th over all, his time of 31:40.58 was worth 248 points and in 50th place (6th U12) was Saalih Syed in a time of 32:43.95, collecting 150 points.
