Frome Canoe Club host a fantastic weekend event at their Langham Farm site, in Wiltshire. The site is off the beaten track, there is on site camping and excellent catering. The perfect venue!
The format for the weekend is slightly different from many events and provides for lots of time paddling on the water, which is ideal for helping to develop skills at this level.
Saturday 17th
Is practice day, there are coached sessions throughout the day, so you are on the water practicing slalom and River Racing skills all day long if you want!
Late afternoon there is a team event, three paddlers racing down together, this is a fun event, which used to be standard at all canoe slalom events, it helps develop skills in a friendly but competitive environment.
And then after the team event, there is a ranking sprint format River Race, you can race in as many classes as you want, K1, C1 and C2.
There is a £10 charge for the day, this includes coaching and the two races, you can pay on the day or when you register for the event.
