Yes, The Month of May was Good for The Sharks?
Ally Judge was picking up medals racing Wild Water at the Daleks race in Nottingham.
The Same day we had our first Birthday Party of the year at Osterley, when 15 youngsters came to help Ayser celebrate his birthday. The Weekend of the 18th and 19th of May proved to be our busiest so far of the year:
On Saturday we were at the London Youth Games, with Shark paddlers representing Harrow (Khaleel Ziauddin) and Hillingdon (Sam Liddy and Jacob Simpson): Report here.
On Saturday and Sunday, James Read was racing slalom at Llandysul.
On Sunday we had a team of paddlers at Winchester Slalom. Where we had some winners: Alex Aldred won the Men’s C1 event and was promoted to Division 3. Lilian and Rick Moore won the C2 event and Sean Fitzpatrick made his slalom debut for The Sharks.
As well as the slalom at Winchester, The Sharks also ran a Regional River Race there, where we have a number of paddlers and winners; Alex, Sean, Richard, Danny and Susan.
Also on Sunday The Sharks were running a come and try it event in conjunction with Rickmansworth Sailing Club
Of course we also had our regular come and try it sessions on at Osterley on both days.
We also started our after-school clubs at Featherstone Primary School and Three Bridges School and additionally we started to do Core time Curriculum lessons at Three Bridges, every Junior gaged child will get Four one hour kayaking lessons as part of their PE.
We ran extra sessions during the half-term holidays, following the End of May Bank Holiday.
Planning permission was granted for the conversion of the garages at Havelock in Southall, we move in, in June.
The Container was moved to support or new project in NW10.
