Let’s Get back to Marathon on October 6th

Chance to do a ranking Marathon at Elmbridge and help get The Sharks back into Marathon Racing.

There are distances for all levels and abilities and is fairly local about 12 miles from Southall and about a 40 minute drive. The address is Elmbridge Canoe Club, Dorney Gardens Car Park, Walton Lane Weybridge, Surrey, KT13 8LU.

Race distances:

4 mile race for those in Divisions 7, 8 and 9, Division 9 is for entry level racers, there is also a Division 10 for under-12s. There are no portages on these races. 4 miles is less than the distance to Bulls Bridge (Tesco) and back from Southall.

Both the races above start at 10:30am, with a race briefing at 10am, you will need to be there at 9am, with prize giving at 12:30pm.

For the more experienced racers the distances are:

8 miles for Divisions 4, 5 and 6, with no portages

12 miles for Divisions 1, 2 and 3 with two portages

The longer races start at 12:45, with a briefing at 12:30 and prize giving at 3:30pm.

We have raced at Elmbridge before in 2017.
