First race of the year

Just one Shark paddler at the January Barrow race, which was a touch on the cold side. With teh canal frozen, paddlers had to carry the boats to the start.

Water levels were the lowest they have been for a while, Neal Underwood‘s time was 17:45.25 for the 3k course, coming in 18th place and third over 60.

The next Barrow race takes place on Saturday February 3rd, however, this clashes with the Wild Water Race at Southampton, which is where The Sharks will be racing next.
