Jasmin off to a flying start
What better way to spend a sunny day than canoeing? It was a really fun day with 7 Shark paddlers racing and a few family members to support, next up is Shepperton, why not come and have a great day/weekend 6th & 7rh July.
Division 3 Ladies
Our top ranked female paddler Jasmin Uhlhorn, came third in her first event of the season, collecting 179 points, putting her in 21st place in the national Division 3 rankings.
Division 2 Men
We had our largest contingent in this event and our top paddler was Daniel Greening, who came who came 12th and picked up 288 points, ranking him at 56th in Men’s Division 2.
Our top paddler for the past few years, Khaleel Ziauddin came 17th, earning 192 points at his first event of the season, placing him 60th in the current ranking lists.
Our final paddler in Division 2 was Neal Underwood, who was placed 26th, collecting 19 points, ranking him in 75th.
Division 4 Men
Ivijah Campbell-Bryan raced in the Men’s Division 4 event, for the first time this year and he came 10th.
Men’s Division 3
Richard Davis was our only paddler in this event, coming 18th and picking up 18 points on Saturday, Richard also raced on Sunday coming 16th and earning a further 16 points. However, he was the top paddler over 85-years-old! How many of you will be doing this when you are 86?
Richard is ranked 56th with 172 points from 3 events.
Veteran Men’s Event
Dany Dalrymple was racing both days in the Veterans class, he is currently ranked 35th with a total of 329 points from three events. He came 7th on Saturday (178 points) and 5th on Sunday (20 points.
Canoe Doubles
Jasmin Uhlhorn and Neal Underwood raced C2 for the first time this season, a fifth place finish gave them 19 points and ranks them 17th in the UK and 4th mixed crew.
Next Generation
We also had some youngsters come along to support us and to try out paddling for the first time, so we look forward to seeing these two guys racing some time soon …
