The Sharks Wild Water Racing tean braved the elements to blood two new paddlers on Sunday with flying colours.
Joel Gunnery and Conor Sheehan took part in their first Wild race at Barrow-on-Soar, Leicestershire, on Saturday.
The race is part of a series of races that earn national ranking points.
The River Soar waas considerably swollen due to recent rain, making the flowing strean tricker than usual and both paddlers came through with flying colours.
Gunnery was the second U14 in 17 minutes and 48 seconds, with Sheehan third in 18:36.
At last month’s Barrow race, Adam Stewart took first U23 in 16:06 and although his time was faster this weekend at 13:46, he was squeezed into second U23 by fellow Shark Grant Underwood, who shot through the finish line in 12:52.
