Sunday 16th April 2023 – 4 & Open

The 2023 Harefield Slalom division 4 and Open will take place on Sunday 16th April, races for all abilities and classes. With a special prize for the best multi class paddler! Enter online here. For more information call us on 07951 770241 or email: slalom@thesharks.org.uk.

The event will take place on Sunday 16th April at our slalom sit in Harefield, UB9 6HZ. There will be free practice and coaching on Saturday 15th April from noon, we will also be running an open, non-ranking Wild Water Race on the Saturday. All the Kayak events will take place in the morning, with the Canoe events in the afternoon, there will be boats to borrow, so paddlers will be able to enter several events and if you enter one event, you can have the others free. Best overall paddler in Kayaks and Canoes win our perpetual trophy.

There is free parking and camping available in The Clancy Group field, we are very grateful for the help and support Clancy give us, without them the event would not be possible. Please do not park in the Coy Carp carpark, (there is a charge for this carpark unless you are using the pub). We would also like to thank the Coy Carp for their support over the years and encourage paddlers to partake in their vitals.

The course is designed for beginners, with an extra gate to make it a bit more interesting for Open paddlers. This event is ideal for clubs, who want to get their paddlers started in slalom.
