Harlesden Primary School Race ’24

Results from the Harlesden Primary School 500m race.

We have inaugurated an annual 500m kayak race for the youngsters at Harlesden Primary School, this is part of our Schools projects, where we run regular after-school clubs for Schools. If your School is interested in taking part please get in touch: canoeing@thesharks.org.uk; 07951 770241.

First place girl was Y6 Nikira, whose time was 3 minutes 10 seconds. In second place was Mia, with a time of 3:45. beating all of the boys.

Important Update: Since the race day, Aaliyah was timed as she was absent on that day and she did teh course in 3:00! What a brilliant time.

First Boy home was Reece in a time of 3:51, followed by Hassan in 3:55.

Ali D was the first boy in a GP boat to cross the line in a time of 6:56.

Although all the Y6 youngsters will be leaving Harlesden Primary School this year, we hope they will continue paddling with us and who knows where the journey will take them.
