Third Consecutive Year
Well done to Dom and Grant for keeping the traditional New Year Dook going this year with a dip in the River Tay on New Year’s Day
Dooking is a Scots word for open water swimming, the tradition of doing it on New Yea’s Day, dates back to the 1890s. It is an invigorating experience and The Sharks have been Dooking at Broughty Ferry since 2020, although events have been curtailed in recent years due to the Pandemic, the guys have been getting in the River Tay withing permitted restrictions.
Well Done Dom Gribben, third consecutive year.
And Grant Underwood, also third consecutive year.
