The 2022 slalom season started in March, and we had an amazingly warm spell to help people prepare.

The new slalom season started at the Lee Valley and Rick Moore was our first competitor of the year, taking 5th place in the Men’s Veteran K1 event. Rick was also in action at Shepperton in the same event where he took 3rd place.

Stone Slalom was the same weekend as Shepperton and we had three paddlers there, Jasmin Uhlhorn, making her debut in K1 Ladies Slalom Division 4. David Spikings was making his first appearance in Division 3 K1 men, having been promoted at Harefield last year. Aditya Ravichander, was back in action in Men’s Division 4, having made his debut at Harefield last October.

We have been working with Canal and River Trust to help improve the environment at Harlesden Canalside, by planting reedbeds.

We have also been working with The Children’s University, Greenford Quay and Groundwork about trying to get teh Elsdale back into community use in West London. Keep an eye on our website for new exiting news coming very soon ……
