Another great month

As we move into Autumn, we were as busy as ever and it was another great month for our slalom paddlers. However, we were also running sessions for school sup until half-term and we hosted scouts and Canal and River Trust sessions.

The main event of October was the Harefield Slalom, as we hosted an entry level Division 4 Slalom at our Harefield Site.

It was an event with a difference, we held the kayak and canoe events separately to try and get people to get people to try different classes, we think it worked and will use this format again. We also had a prize for the best over all paddler (K1, C1 and C2).

As well as some excellent results, we had some new paddlers taking part in their first ever events, including some form our other sites.

We had a team at Shepperton Division 3 & 4 slalom, with some stunningly good results.

The Slalom Season finished at the end of the month with the Lee Valley Division 2 slalom where once again we had Shark paddlers racing.

We finished our sessions with Three Bridges Primary School, and Harlesden Primary School for the year but we will keep sessions going for our Club members at all of our sites: Southall, Harlesden, Greenford Quay, and Harefield, so no excuse not to be active.
