Shark Attack

13 Sharks at Cardington

The biggest ever sighting of Sharks at a canoeing event is expected on Saturday as 15 Shark paddlers are expected to race at Cardington.

We welcome back Grant Underwood, racing his first slalom for 6 years, he is paddling in Men’s Division 2 Kayak, also racing MK1 Division two is Neal Underwood.

In Division 3 Men’s K1: we have inform Ivijah Campbell-Bryan, who just can’t seem to stop winning these days, also racing for the first time this year is Aditya Ravichander, and the legendary Richard Davis, who at a mere 86-years-old is heading for the Guinness book of records.

The Ladies Division 3 K1 event sees the battle for Shark Supremacy hot up as Liah Boyle, winner of her last two slaloms and Jasmin Uhlhorn, runner up in her last slalom, go head to head for the first time this year. Liah was ranked 22nd last year and is currently 19th this year; whilst Jasmin was our top female paddler last year in 19th position, and currently ranks 5 places behind Liah in 31st place. Let the battle commence.
