Battlesbridge is a village in Essex, England in the civil parish of Rettendon. The village straddles the tidal River Crouch south-southeast of Chelmsford. Battlesbridge is the finishing point for the Battlesbridge Canoe Race, a 9 mile race for racing kayaks and 6 miles for general purpose and plastic kayaks and all canoes held annually on the river Crouch.

The Race starts from North Fambridge and has been organised by Southend Canoe Club since 1994.
