The Thamesmead Festival 2024
The Thamesmead Festival takes place on Saturday 10th August 2024 and The Sharks are going to be part of it, are you?
Join us for a day of fun and activity on the water at Southmere Lake in Thamesmead, SE2 9TX. This is something new and not in our traditional geographic area, but never the less an opportunity to be involved in an exciting day.

We will be on site from noon, till 6pm, we will have canoes and kayaks available for people to come and try and it is all free! This is an ideal family opportunity as well as am opportunity for individuals to come and try it.
There will also be the opportunity to engage with the paddling community as we working to support the establishment of regular sessions and to help create a canoe club at this location. Are you interested? Then give us a call or text on 07951 770241, or email us: canoeing@thesharks.org.uk.
We are interested in hearing from residents, both locals and not so local as well as groups, schools and anybody who has an interest in paddlesports. This is your chance to help develop a completely new project.
As well as canoeing, we are interested to hear people’s views and opinions about open water swimming in the nearby Birchmere Lake. If you are interested in open water swimming, or have opinions, please do get in touch on 07951 770241 or email: canoeing@thesharks.org.uk.
