Liah is back!
Liah Boyle completed her first slalom events of the year at Shepperton, and won on both days; with Ivijah Campbell_Bryan coming second on Saturday and winning on Sunday. Well done!
The Rain was heavy on both days, but our paddlers were undeterred as they took to the challenge of Shepperton Slalom.
Saturday
Junior 16, Liah Boyle‘s results on Saturday was impressive, her time of 93.6, beat all but one senior man! Giving her a well deserved victory by 19.1 seconds in the Ladies Division 3 K1 event.
Junior 14, Ivijah Campbell-Bryn took a very comfortable second place with a time of 133.3 in the Men’s Division 4 K1 event.
Whilst the oldest competitor of the day was 86-year-old Richard Davis, who came 4th over all in the Men’s Division 3 K1 race in a time of 118. 5! Yes, read it again – eighty-six-years old!
Sunday
Liah continued her winning ways with two clear runs and again beating all but one of the men! Her winning time was 94.9, in the Women’s K1 Division 3 race.
With 125 points from each day, Liah has now jumped ahead of Jasmin Uhlhorn as The Sharks top lady paddler in slalom.
Ivijah meanwhile bettered his Saturday result by winning the Men’s Division 4 K1 Race, his time was 128.3.
In the official’s event Rick Moore came 2nd.
And Khaleel Ziauddin came third.
