Outstanding results from the Battles Bridge Marathon this weekend!

Well done to Shark paddlers: Adam Stewart (J18), Amelia Combes (J14), Grant Underwood (U23), Johan Kukkohori (J10), and Rod Grundy (Masters), on a fantastic performance.

Amelia Combes was 1st lady and first junior ladies in the 6mile Marathon in a time of 59 minutes and 30 seconds., with Johan Kukkohori winning the 1st junior men’s, in a time of 62 minutes and 2 seconds. Rod Grundy came in 3rd overall (56:21) , with Grant Underwood taking the win, in a time of 41minutes 40 seconds. Adam Stewart took 1st in the Men’s K1 9mile Marathon, beating most K2 crews in 1 hour 9 minutes and 2 seconds.

Big thank you to The Sharks support crew: Alex, Angie, Anthony, Kaycee, Mandy and Tanya for providing excellent encouragement throughout the race, both prior, during and after, as well helping to transport kit and paddlers! Additionally a big thank you to the Battles Bridge race organisers, for running such an amazing event!
